Am I entitled to get paid for COVID testing? ?

I work for a small business with 15 employees. I was exposed to someone that had COVID and immediately went to get tested. I missed a total of 5 days of work waiting for the results. My boss said he wasn’t going to pay me because we’re a small business and he doesn’t have to pay me at all. Is this correct?

He does not have to pay you when you are not at work.

You're not entitled to be paid by your employer while waiting for test results, unless you have paid sick days or vacation time to use.

I don't know, the laws vary country to country so telling us what country you're in would be helpful

He’s required to give you 2 weeks of paid sick leave because of the CARES act that passed congress earlier this year. Businesses that have more than 500 employees are exempt. Tell your boss to suck it up and follow the law.

Thumb me down all you want. The CARES Act is law.
