Clean off the crap you do not actually use and need, Install MORE RAM, get a FASTER HARD DRIVE or go to using SSD. UPGRADE... and come into modern times with more faster updated and new equipment such as CPU, GPU, Memory and Drive upgrades.'
Stay off the FREE PORN SITES and you also will not get as many cookies and less chance of getting viruses... etc..

Add more RAM. I've allocated like 16gb to minecraft cause I have 32gb of RAM and it seems to have helped.

If you got the money, install a solid state hard drive. My computer now boots up in less than 10 seconds rather than about 30 seconds.

Next time give your laptop model number. All the other advice is good except Gordon with the "4 Gb oF rAm On A pC iS fInE" advice, this isn't 2012. Go with 8gb minimum; 16 recommended. Especially if you are on Windows 10.
Get a SSD that is compatible with your laptop. There are multiple form factors. 2.5" SATA, msata, M.2 SATA, and M.2 PCIe.
Also factor in the cost of your laptop. This is why the model is important. If you bought a $400 laptop 3 years ago there is not much you can do and may not be worth the upgrades. Good, fast, cheap - Pick two.

The best magnitude is the SSD drive a better hard drive always makes the computer run much faster improve ram add SSD drive, you in the game !!!

Depends on the computer, ram helps. You didn't say how much you have, changing to an SSD can make a bigger difference. CPU would be next but as its a laptop you would really be looking at a new PC.
for most things 4gb on a PC is fine, gaming you are looking at 8gb.

Delete unwanted files and unused applications.
Take backup of video, images, excel, other files and delete them from harddisk.
Defragment the disks.
Run at a time only the application that u are using.
Run antivirus/malware check in detail, disinfect and update your antivirus.

Increasing the RAM will usually increase the performance of a computer. However there is a limit (which is currently 8 GB) where the improvement made by adding RAM is not noticeable.
There are many other things that can affect perform. Such as how full the hard drive is. If it has less than 10% of the drive free that can greatly affect performance. What you are using as your anti-virus. How many programs you have that are automatically loading in the background when you start the PC. Whether you have an orphaned registry entry that may be diverting the computer to try to do things for programs that are not even there any more. And lots of other things.
Without knowing more of the specs of the PC - such as how much RAM memory you have, what version of Windows you are running, and how old the PC is - we can not guess whether additional RAM will make an improvement in performance or not.
