Is it true wealthy people don't play the lottery?

The lottery is aimed at people with modest incomes who hope to "hit it big" by paying $5 a week (or whatever amount).
Truly wealthy people don't need that dream of a big payoff and are unlikely to play. Also, truly wealthy people are less likely to go into the stores (such as a 7-11 or even a supermarket) where lottery tickets are sold.
So yes, it's largely true.
