A rhinoceros is at the origin of coordinates at time t1 = 0. For the time interval from t1 to t2 = 10.0 s, the rhino's average velocity has x -component -3.80 m/s and y-component 5.80 m/s.

A) At time t2 = 10.0 s what is the x-coordinate of the rhino? (in meters)

B) At time t2 = 10.0 s what is the y-coordinate of the rhino? (in meters)

C) How far is the rhino from the origin? (in meters)

    A)

    At time t1 = 10.0 s what is the x-coordinate of the rhino? (in meters)

    x = Vx*t = -3.8*10 = -38 m

    B)

    At time t2 = 10.0 s what is the y-coordinate of the rhino? (in meters)

    y = Vy*t = 5.8*10 = 58 m

    C)

    How far (d) is the rhino from the origin? (in meters)

    d = √ x^2+y^2 = √ 38^2+58^2 = 69.3 m

    displacement = velocity * time

    A) x-coordinate = (-3.80 m/s)*(10.0 s) = -38.0 m

    B) y-coordinate = (5.80 m/s)*(10.0 s) = 58.0 m

    C) Displacement of rhino =  √[(-38.0)²+(58.0)²] = 69.3 m
