will using 2*8gb rams result in a better performance than one 8gb? (if the cpu is i5 4210u 1.70ghz)?
is it worth it? will it increase gaming experience considerably?

Answer depends a lot on your video card and what games. Extra ram may help high end games that use a lot of ram, but it will not help video card performance much. Extra ram is not used by the video card (in general).
A 1.7Ghz CPU is not really a gaming CPU either, it is rather on the slow side for high end games. Taking what we know about your system so far (assuming it is a laptop), the extra ram will help a little with your operating system, and maybe a little with gaming, but don't expect miracles, won't happen...

Having 2 RAM's in Dual Channel Memory lane is always better than running a single memory stick in it because they are designed to give better performance when used in the dual configuration setup.

With your current setup (a low power, low performance laptop CPU), increasing RAM will only help a little, unless the game specifies large amounts of RAM

Yes ram plays a big role in gaming, it will reduce lag bigtime as ram helpa withbprocess, your Vram will count for a lot too!

RAM is crucial in gaming computers. the more the better. 12 GB is better than 8. and desktops are better than laptops. you can add RAM to a desktop (depending on the motherboards capacity), but you can't add anything to a laptop.
