What's the best way of recreating real world maps/places?
I'm living in a small town. I'd like to immortalize the environment by recreating an explorable replica of it, but not sure which direction to go. Best options I could think of were:
♦ As a Counter-Strike 1.6 map
♦ Minecraft (rather not)
♦ Unity (Never used before)
I know the fundamentals of programming, have some experience with JS and Java. I know what 3D consists of; x,y,z and stuff, but never dealt with anything related to it.
So what do you think is the best approach for this purpose?

minecraft would be easiest, but blocky and not great with angles.
CS map would be next easiest.
Unity is relatively easy, but there is alearning curve there, and it may take more time to learn than you want to spend.
irecommend watching some YouTube videos on each way, to see which you might prefer.
