Baseball is played in Jamaica. It is just not as big as soccer and cricket, which are also played throughout the Caribbean. Caribbean nations that had more connections to the US through political or business affiliations picked up baseball, while those with more connections to England picked up soccer and cricket.

Four MLB players came from Jamaica, most notably Chili Davis and Devon White.

Jamaica is more like the UK, where they prefer cricket and what Americans call soccer.

Because cricket is more popular in Jamaica.

Because Jamaica, as a Commonwealth country, picked up more influence from the British, so soccer is bigger down there.

Because they are too stoned and unmotivated to play.
