Statistically, which is more likely: Dying in a plane crash or dying in a school shooting?

I've always been slightly anxious about both, and I'm just curious if one is more likely than the other. Thank gosh they are both rare, but still... :(

Odds of dying in a school shooting in the United States:  1 in 12,222,222 per the CDC.

Odds of dying in a plane crash in the United States:  1 in 11,000,000 per PBS.

If you stay out of schools and planes, your odds are zero.

According to the National Safety Council the odds of dying from a firearm assault is 1 in 298.  The odds of dying in a plane crash is, "Too few deaths to calculate odds."

So...  You're much much more likely to be killed in a shooting.
