Are 3,500 fans in a stadium that allows 19,000 capacity too much?

I am planning to go to a Sporting KC event and the capacity is 18%. I am not sure is this risky because of COVID19? I don't know why its so high.

Masks are mandatory unless eating or drinking.

Not if the fans wear masks and social distance in the stands. There is some risk since the number of new cases in Kansas and Missouri have been at their highest in those states in the last few weeks.

If it's an outdoor stadium and you utilize social distancing from other fans then you should be safe.  If you go "indoors" , say go to the restroom or concession stand then you should wear a mask.
