What type of wood is this?

I want to sell my kitchen table but don't know what type of wood it is. It's really solid and heavy and a little lighter in colour than it looks in the photo. Anyone have any ideas?

The grain in the second photo you posted indicates to me that the table is oak.

Its oak tree wood, very good, long lasting durable wood in the world.

That is the smooth, closed grain, hard wood of the 'Birch' tree.

Hopefully this is a better photo to be able to see the grain?

The picture doesn't show the grain very well so it is difficult to determine what kind of wood it is.
