How long before the unwritten home run celebration rules turn into official “excessive celebration” rules like the NFL?

When the celebrations start to involve bad choreography.

I've heard baseball lords view excessive celebration as a form of "disrespect" for the game.   Wt....?

Source(s): Edit: I love the game. But they should define a good celebration vs. a bad celebration.

    That's unlikely to ever happen.

Won't happen, MLB isn't as bad as the NFL, plus every player knows they will get beaned if they celebrate too much.

A long time.  They'll probably ban the hidden ball trick first.

I hope they do the opposite - they should encourage players celebrating. They should do an ESPN special where they show nothing but bat flips, home run trots, and other celebrations to encourage the behavior.
