Will the universe end?

The answers below assumes the universe is "real".  There are many theories (some quite possible) that say our universe is someone else's computer simulation, in which case the universe will end when they turn us off.

Maybe someday! The universe will be in the edge.

The second law of thermodynamics tells us that the universe will end, although that will not be until hundreds of trillions of years from now.

If the expansion of the universe is accelerating as evidence indicates, it will fade away into a maximally diffuse collection of elementary particles as close to absolute zero as the uncertainty principle allows, and at maximum possible entropy.

An outside possibility is that if the universe is in a metastable false vacuum, it may tunnel to a lower energy false vacuum or to a true vacuum in which case the universe may still exist but will be dramatically transformed. For all intents and purposes, the end of the universe as we know it.

    Qur'an 28:88

and never call upon any other deity side by side with God. There is no deity save Him. Everything is bound to perish, save His [eternal] self. With Him rests all judgment; and unto Him shall you all be brought back.
