Those who relied upon the power of prayer and the Good Lord to keep them safe during the conflagration.

Those killed to date appear to be individuals who failed to leave their homes or evacuation area due to either intentionally deciding to stay or had issues relating to transportation and were not able to leave in time.  They could also include people trapped by sudden and unexpected changes in fire direction who due to age or disability were unable to move fast enough.  It is also possible, as not all have been identified, that some were those drawn to the fire to watch it and failed to leave in time.  I am not aware of any firefighters or other first responders at the present time based on publicly available reports.

Human people! Fire does not discriminate.

The fires will kill first responders that are paid to fight the fires, like the 1949 fire in Mann Gulch in Montana.  Will kill the elderly that chose not to leave their homes, will kill general populations that leave their homes late in an evaluation, and finally it will kill the careless or the reckless sightseers

Doesn’t matter what “kind” of people they were. They were human beings and their lives should matter.
