Since it's in our Constitution and many Americans depend on it for many things, why would we?

No if anything we need to shut down republicans for good

No. For one thing, the constitution mandates its existence. You guys like to think of yourselves as strict constitutionalists, dontcha? The framers put that in article 1, section 8; before they even got around to presidential powers.

For another, it’s been keeping information and commerce flowing across our continent for over 200 years, still dwarfs the volume of UPS and FedEx put together, and shows up at every home and business in the nation every day. You’d be hard pressed to find a more successful enterprise in either the government or private sectors.

Back in the 90's Seinfeld did an episode about how no one these days needs USPS. Keep in mind this was almost 30 years ago. Im not saying we should abolish USPS but you should watch that episode.

Anyone who thinks that would be fine is one step away from thinking ridding us of all water and oxygen would be of no consequence too.

Until you invent a teleportal and have an affordable home version, then no... we need the mail service.

We aren't going to shut it down  temporarily. And all the mail and ballots will be counted. Or else.

No. We shouldn't. The US Postal Service handles 500 MILLION pieces of mail a day, and 5 BILLION the week before Christmas.
