How do we have Thanksgiving this year when there’s absolutely nothing to be thankful for in 2020?

Update:

Coronavirus, political upheaval, my cousins suicide death at 21, no summer vacation because of pandemic, my grandfather’s Alzheimer’s getting to where he doesn’t know us anymore, my depression, race riots, and probably more riots at the end of the year.    How in the world can I be thankful for anything this Thanksgiving? And 2020 is only a little over halfway over.
