If you are using your vehicle for commercial purposes, your personal insurance will likely not cover damage or injuries resulting from an accident.

Businesses might have a policy against driving without commercial insurance as the liability could be traced back to them if you're in an accident, so they might require it as a condition of working for them.

I would advise you to review your personal liability (and other coverages if you have them) policy to make sure you're covered while doing contract work with your vehicle.

All states require vehicles to be insured with liability insurance. I have little doubt DoorDash expects its drivers to comply with all state, federal and local laws, including auto insurance.

Depends on the state.  Some places you can pay an uninsured motorist fee

Illegal, no.  Violate Door Dash policy, maybe.

It is unlawful to drive without insurance.  Door Dash has nothing to do with the legality of it.
