why is windows 10 displaying 1920x1440 as stretched to 16:9 when nvidia control panel is set to keep aspect ratio?

You crack me up Mick... No it's displaying it as a stretched image (full screen) when its instructed to keep the 4:3 aspect ratio. 1280x960 (a 4:3 resolution)keeps the aspect ratio. It seems that resolutions above 1080p are stretched to fill screen no matter what the aspect ratio is.

If you're using a monitor / TV, it might have its own internal scaler. Check the menus to see if it supports changing the aspect ratio.

Because 1920x1440 is a 4:3 ratio, my friend.
