does kilz interior/exterior primer kill mold?

    No. It just hides the problem short term.

    Get some of this stuff....clean off the surface first, but it kills what's left.

    It paints over it.  it does not kill it

    No. Painting over mold is a mistake. If you want a good paint job you MUST clean the surface first. Preparation is the secret to a good result.

    No, and that is an important distinction. You must kill AND clean the mold from the surface before you paint.  I recommend Mocribium Mold Control as it is non corrosive and works well.  It not only kills what you see, but kills the mold root so you don't have to worry about more growing under the new paint.   Once dry, you wipe down the walls and they are ready to prime with Kilz..
