Why don't Kate and Camilla have the same impact as Diana ?

They just don't have it, that impact, the craze, the people going nuts over them, people crying etc   you see videos of Diana from the 80s and people are going nuts, screaming and trying to jump over the barriers etc

It's like Diana was a firework! While Kate is little sparkle or a fizzle and Camilla is just .....  Well just nothing! Why is that? Are Kate and Camilla just boring old cows in comparison?  Or is it that people were  more interested back in the 80s and younger people today just dont give 2 hoots? Or was it just Diana who just had that impact and presence, star quality. It's just not the same ...

Diana didn't survive her impact, so it is probably just as well they don't.

I just want to say that one of the anonymous trolls is talking rubbish, Diana was not competing with Charles, she felt it was unfair that he got ignored.

Dropped from the same height they would have exactly the same impact.

Diana had a natural charisma, accentuated by her beauty, youth, fashion, and the fairy tale princess story everyone thrust upon her. The camera loved her. She rarely took a bad photo. The world’s media couldn’t get enough of her. As the truth of her failed marriage began to become public, people saw her as someone to root for, to cheer on because they thought she had been wronged. After all, she was only a 19-year-old naive, supposed virgin when the 32-year-old Charles sought her hand in marriage. Diana simply had that “it” factor that is so often unexplainable.

Diana  had a special charisma and she was friendly to the reporters following her about which only made the press more interested in her. The spotlight was on Diana, encouraged by her fashions, her hairstyles---there had not been a royal woman as young, beautiful, and interested in fashion for a long time, the women being middle-aged and boring to the press.

The press attention grew to be too much, too intrusive, partly because Diana made friends with some reporters and let them know where she'd be, feeding them stories. Diana started competing for press attention  with Charles after she saw how popular she was. Charles was disappointed that the press was not paying attention to the works that he was doing.

Press attention should fall on the monarch and the royals who are doing important things. Camilla and Catherine don't view for attention and don't encourage attention away from their royal spouses.

Diana was very young and very inexperienced with the media in the 80's. In the beginning she was very open and gave everyone what they wanted. Camilla and Kate's experiences with the press are quite different.

Diana had a unique coyness about her, as well as being attractive.
