I think I may need a therapist? Help?

I'm going through a real rough patch at the moment and everything seems useless. I don't see any out option. I don't care about money I'm desperate for a therapist or someone who can help me from feeling so trapped and horrible in life. I really need help. I can't handle any more stress in my life.

Not knowing you, I can't say whether or not you need a therapist. Maybe you do. I'll just say that if all you need is stress reduction, there are things you can do on your own that can help a lot.

Before I go further, I'll suggest a couple of questionnaires. You can take a depression screening test online, such as CESD R. This article has Signs of an anxiety disorder.

That article has stress management methods. Those things can help even with very bad anxiety.

Again, I'm not saying necessarily that this is all you need but you can't go wrong with stress management.

Look in the mirror and slap your face and tell yourself to knock it off.
