why is microsoft declining they are huge and your computer probably runs windows

    Just a guess, but they rested on their laurels of being the first big computer company, and now Bill Gates is no longer running the day to day activities of the company.  They are treading water, reaping profits, but no longer driven to excellence.

    Maybe Windows for conventional home users is. Not Microsoft, which runs Azure and sells Windows Server products, aside from many other less profitable but still relevant products such as the Office suite and even some hardware.

    They have a $1.6 Trillion market cap as a company value, all time high.

    Not sure where you get "declining".

    people dont use computers as much anymore - mobile phone can access the internet and do everything a computer can do, and mobile phones are easier to carry around than a laptop
