how long can refrigerator food stay good after loosing Power?

I have a generator, heavy duty extension cord  and a mini refrigerator and freezer. We turn off the Generator at like 9:30 or 10 and turn it on at 6:00 if not 5:45. Will the Food we put in it still be good by morning if we run it all day the day before?

3 to four hours and it depends on the fridge, but that is when stuff  should start to be tossed.  You can extend that time with bags, blacks of ice.  Have a couple of sets, freeze them while you run the generator. Then put them in the fridge prior to shutting down the gen. You fridge will act like an ice chest over night,.

A few minutes or days, depending on what objects they are.

Fresh veggies will be ok.  The rest, no.

there would be lots of 'variables' in determining that.  BUT an old trick:  freeze a glass of water, put a penny ON the frozen water, and then put it in the freezer.  IF the penny is UNDER WATER when you look, everything could have thawed sometime .
