Why didn't God make everyone a prophet?

Jesus was apparently born with direct knowledge of God's existence, he did not need faith. Yet he still had free will. Why does an all powerful God need special bloodlines and virgin mothers to make prophets? At work, when a coworker says the boss wants you to do something, do you just believe him simply because he's employee of the month, or confront your manager for conformation? Why is sin an obstacle for God if he is supposedly the most powerful being in the universe? Some people may think it's because life is supposed to be a test, but wasn't Jesus tested even as a prophet?

He wants to.  Most of us can't be bothered to do what it takes to be prophets, though.  Most of us refuse to give up our sins, make amends for them, and replace them with good works.  But Moses thought it was a good thing for people to be prophets.  In fact, the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.  Without prophecy or revelation, there is no true conversion.

God has billions of Sons and these universes are their playground/Laboratory. With the Father's permission, they were attempting to build their own Heaven. They caused this messed up world from the start by not following instructions. Humans are the product of God's Sons.

Jesus IS God who became man and walked among us and never, no not once did he sin.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory." (1 Timothy 3:16) Yes, Jesus was a Prophet, but He did not come into the world to prophesize.  He came to seek and to save that which was lost, He came to bring division between good and evil. He came to save the world through Him. he came to save sinners.

Maybe we are? As in, we are gods? Ambassadors of God? "Some people may think it's because life is supposed to be a test, but wasn't Jesus tested even as a prophet?" -- life may or may not be a test. Also the fact that Jesus was born without moral defects means that he couldn't have ever sinned. The Devil's temptations were futile.

A  prophet is one who "Declares God's counsel", 1 Peter 4:11.

  • The Lord has given to some as Prophets, to others he has given other gifts, according to his will!

Ephesians 4:11-13.11 It is he who gave some as apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and doctors, 12 for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry and the building up of the body of Christ, 13 until we all come to the unity of faith and full knowledge of the Son of God, to the state of made men, to the perfect stature of Christ.

So, are you having trouble not being one of them? Convert, and God will give what he proposes!
