A Parliament is the supreme law-making governing body of a nation, which represents the people, makes the laws, and over-sees the day to day running of the government. In the USA, it is known as Congress.

Pakistan based its democratic system on the British Parliamentary model, and has a multi-party parliamentary system with clear division of powers and checks and balances among the various branches of the government.

Parliament is a meeting place where elected representatives of the people gather to discuss making laws and running the economy etc.  You will now need to work out what and when this democratic transition to such a form of government took place, assess whether or not its goals were reached, and attempt an analysis of why it turned out the way it did.
