Was the Lebanon explosion a terrorists attack or a freak accident? ?
Or does no one know yet?

The Lebanon Government has admitted on the possibility of a terrorist attack. However, high temperature on leaky explosive chemical should be the main cause. ( Remark: a small high temperature source as a lighter, can trigger the explosion.

It was criminal negligence to store thousands of tons of explosive materials in a warehouse for 6 years.

More likely an accident. Sodium Nitrate was stored in the storehouse.

I think it was an accident. Sometimes poor countries skimp on safety issues

It is extremely difficult to know. It could be either. I think that the second explosion was too powerful to have been terrorism. It looked like a mini atomic bomb. I think it was an accident..

It's under investigation. But it wasn't a freak accident and nothing to do with a terrorists attack. It looks like very bad storage of the chemicals

Well as the authorities knew that six years ago, when 2,700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate were taken from an impounded ship and stored in the port of Beirut. It was a massive bomb just waiting to go off; a disaster equivalent to an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale.
The government had been getting requests from the port ever since to get rid of this ticking bomb and failed to do so. The colour of the cloud has been identified as typical of an explosion of ammonium nitrate.
So the most logical reason is that a fire set of the chemical and what their is no evidence of is a bomb.
So why is Trump saying this was an attack. Did his generals really suggest this, or is it another idea Trump has picked up from a conspiracy site or some nut scientist, like the crazy doctor he retweeted, what is for sure is that nothing Trump says can be automatically assumed to be truthful.
What a tragedy for the American people.

Id be very surprised if it were a terrorist attack or even an attack by the Israelis. its reckoned that 2755 tonns of ammonium nitrate was involved in the explosion which really makes it a freak accident brought about by lax regulations.
