What would a sterile room be used for?

    Surgery. The less bacteria and viruses in the room the better because it decreases the patient’s chance of getting an infection. 

    Why do you think surgeons put on mask, gloves, scrubs, booties, hairnets. To be as sterile as possible. They also sterilize their equipments. 

    It’s also for making medical products that needs to be contamination free, like the cotton swabs that are used for covid testing or catheters that needs to be inserted into people. 

    If you watch Monk, it would be paradise for him. Monk is a germophobe so a sterile room would be heaven.
