Which word is correct?

He slipped on the frozen ground, fell (back / backward) and had concussion.

    backward.  You could be more specific than "frozen ground", which doesn't necessarily mean it was slippery.  If he slipped, it must have been because it was "icy", so I might say "He slipped on the ice", or "on a patch of ice (on the frozen ground)".  Also "...and GOT a concussion".

    Well, the "and had concussion" part is not right, you need an a in between had and concussion. I think either back or backward is acceptable
