Have you ever had or ridden an MZ ETZ 250 from the 80s?

How many mpg do they do and what is their motorway cruising speed?

It's surprising how many are still on the road in the Uk. I saw one this morning.

I had a TS 250 – awful fuel consumption, struggled to an indicated 65mph, but it kept on going, it was built for strength rather than speed.

I owned a 1988 ETZ 250, back in the mid-1990's.  Fuel economy wasn't brilliant for a 250cc machine (about 55mpg), but it was capable of carrying two people at 70mph (it was fitted with an aftermarket fairing, which helped), even with a 20kg bag of sand in the topbox!

They were surprisingly well built and reliable, but the demise of MZ in 2008 means that spares are now hard to find.
