    All the rioters, and even all the protestors, are a tiny fraction of the massive populace of the US. But so are all those with COVID-19, all those virtue signalling on social media and all those trolling other people on various websites. Most Americans are just trying to navigate these perilous waters and salvage their household budgets in the face of what will surely be grim economic times to come. Why our media panders to these tiny minorities and ignores everybody else is something sociologists will likely be studying for years. We're witnessing the death of journalism right before our eyes.

    USA has nearly 20,000 cities. Portland is just 1 city. And even with that, the riots is only happening in a small part of Portland while the rest of the city hums along just fine.

    So to answer your question, yes, it is a tiny fraction. Minuscule even.
