Those who don't panic and take a long term view, as always.

The market is not the economy. The market is a price into the future. People who are investing in big tech of trying to pick a winner in Biotech are possibly making gains. If you has TSLA in the past year all it did was go up.

For one, any company the public thinks has something that will make their lives better.  150,000 is a lot of dead people, yes, but there's 330+ million Americans who are NOT dead and they need stuff.

who The thousands of people who are enrolled in a 401K program.

The millions of people who have an retirement or pension plan.

The  millions of people who have mutual funds in their portfolios.

    Most long term investors.

There are more people benefiting from the markets than those who are not.

This is the perfect example of why you should NEVER try and predict the market. The market makes people money-whether it goes up OR down-you might lose your shirt, but someone else is putting your 'shirt' in their pocket.

So who is making money right now? Apple, Alphabet, Face Book, Amazon-all made big numbers in the past few days. People cooped up in their homes use all 4 Extensively.

Its not all doom and gloom in every ones life. Not everyone has lost their jobs either. More than likely, if you invested in the market before the virus, your job is one that stayed relatively safe kept and you can still deal in the market. Youve got to put those numbers you spat out against the overall population. When you have done that, youve put things into perspective and things dont seem as bad as you and many others think things are. The rich continue to be rich. Between them and the govt, the markets are doing quite well. Believe it or not, this virus has led to incredible gains and opportunities. I dont want to make it sound like so many have profited off of other peoples agony. It is what it is, though, and if one can make a buck making moves in the market, so be it. You cant knock someone for making an honest dollar.
