My job is super dangerous, should I be getting a raise? I need some help.?

Well I work with an Asbestos Contractor at NASA Michoud Facility, which is in New Orleans. I work with Asbestos but the type of asbestos that I work with is Transite Asbestos panels. It weighs about 70-100 pounds each panel. The thing is I’m removing panels, 250 feet up in the air on an electrical scaffold. I have to be responsible for the safety and well being of 2 other men while I’m up in the air. Working in a government facility, I have safety watching me and other people. I’m only 23 years old, I’m getting paid 17.65 to do this job. It’s nerve wrecking, when I first started back in November I was promised 27$ an hour , I need help.
