You first need to ascertain if you do in fact have 2 feet and if they have the indicative arches, flat or otherwise and if they do, do you have a left foot and a a right foot? Do you have socks that already have a bend for each foot and if you do do you have 2 socks to populate the aforementioned feet? You next have to ask yourself if you are looking at a mirror or are you looking directly down at your feet? The possible choices.are cloaked in the reverse should you be looking into a mirror. That is assuming you aren't looking into a true mirror. Which leg is stronger? Use that and look to a fixed point on the floor or ground and lift the weaker one. That one gets the protection first and needs the most support which the dominant leg provides via the foot. You may also sit whilst you dress your foot which avoids any unnecessary falls. Should you be sitting you should put the sock on the stronger leg should you get blindsided by your own hand that slipped off the sock's elastic lip. Don't pull on your sock so hard that an eye could be impaled with the release velocity and an errant thumb.

The left foot, cause I'm left-handed.
