Atheists: Do you agree with the Atheist Community of Austin’s decision to excommunicate Stephen Woodford for speaking against trans athletes?
In your opinion, is Stephen Woodford, known on YouTube as RationalityRules, an anti-atheist heretic for believing that trans women shouldn’t compete against cis women? Should atheists who interact with Woodford also be disfellowshipped from ACA?

Speaking as an outside observer (a theist); Is it a given that all atheists accept an equivalents of “trans women” as women?
Or should they?
It is my understanding, from what many atheists have told us, that atheism has no given set of beliefs, no worldview, no “atheist orthodoxy”. Yet it seems the ACA is indeed enforcing one. IMO, what we see here is that Progressive Liberalism is enforcing its views even upon atheists. And because atheism has no ontological foundations to even give an objective definition to what a woman /is/, they are easily swayed into these types of irrational positions.
Critics of Christianity often try to mis-characterize the faith as nothing more than a means of controlling people.
It is the lack of understanding an objective reality (atheism) that opens opportunity to control.
Homosexials are condemed in the bible and that is just so wrong.

His logic was very faulty toward trans women athletes. He doubled down on that recently, showing he has not learned or taken in any of the valid criticisms from trans people trying to educate him. He should rightfully be called out as he's a public voice with a channel open to any who wish to find it on youtube.
Do I think he should be banished completely. Probably not. That did create a giant riff, but there were already problems there. As there are in any organizations. The ACA should approach him for a talk, no matter how messy or heated it might get.
Just because you're an atheist, it doesn't mean you are free of prejudices, ignorance, assumptions or bad intel. He's a young man. This is probably something he hasn't thought a lot about, but hopefully, will take in new information, while listening to those this most affects.
Yes, trans women should compete as women in a given sports area. Because they are not men pretending to be women, they are women. What about that is hard for you to understand, Jim? This also smacks of rampant sexism. That women cannot compete unless protected and sheltered. Trans women are women. There isn't an advantage there. That's what Stephen got wrong, too.
I can't even begin to address the sheer number of weird, false assumptions in that post.
