By Newton's Law of Gravitation,

a = GM / r²

where G = 6.674e−11 N·m²/kg²

and M is the moon's mass

and r is the moon's radius

a = 6.674e−11N·m²/kg² * 7.35e22kg / (1.74e6m)²

a = 1.62 m/s²

By g' = GM/R^2

=>g' = [6.67 x 10^-11 x 7.35 x 10^22]/(1.74 x 10^6)^2

=>g' = 1.62 m/s^2
