In superior court cases that are civil in the USA can I ask and get a quicker/sooner trial if the matter is ?

urgent request the trial be expedited  ?

    You can always make a request but in most cases your "urgent" is the court's bureaucratic normal.

    You can ask. The judge probably won't agree with your OPINION of how urgent your case is.

    Can you ask? Yes. 

    Will the judge grant the request? Probably not. The other side could simply argue they need more time to prepare.
