Do you economize your drinking by buying the big bottles of booze at places like Costco, Sam's Club, or BJ's Wholesale Club?

If the price is right it makes sense to buy the bigger bottles if the cost per volume is less, usually its only a few dollars difference but often its like getting 40% more booze for 20% more cost. Its the same as buying brekky cereal or rice or sugar, you buy the small pack you get ripped off big time. And booze does not have an expiry date which is a big plus.

No, prices are comparable in local stores, at times even better if having membership.

The prices at big box stores are not consistently the best value in the market. Some other chains like Southeast Grocers (Winn Dixie) offer great sales, sometimes providing a case of 6 1.75 liter Dewars 12 year old scotch for less than $150.00. Big box house brands are not all wonderful, but Sam's Members Mark blended scotch is great at under $19.00 for a 1.75.  Pricing is from experience in North Florida. State tax structure may result in higher or lower prices.
