Can losing weight cure sleep apnea?

I think I have sleep apnea cause I keep waking up choking and can't sleep on my back cause my airway keeps getting crushed.

Recently I lost 10 LBs and now I am no longer having the above problems. Does this mean I am cured of sleep apnea and no longer need to see the doctor?

Yes, I know someone who lost weight and then no longer required his respirator. Do try not to put the weight back on.

You should probably still see a doctor, however, definitely mention that you are no longer experiencing those symptoms after losing weight.
