Will Patrick Mahomes eventually have to do more with less now that he accepted that huge contract?
Reminds me of Aaron Rodgers.

Not really. The Mahomes contract seems preposterous because of how LONG it is, but it's actually pretty team friendly. Remember that the NFL is about to negotiate a new TV deal next year so expect GIANT jumps in cap space. And a lot of the money is prorated and backloaded, so the Chiefs had a fairly substantial window during which they're going to have a young, elite QB with plenty of talent around him.

Anyone who is getting paid more than last season means the team has less money to spend on the rest of his teammates. That goes for any player at any position. Since Mahomes deal was just an extension of his rookie contract, there wouldn't be any drastic changes for a couple years.
