Why is there so many more liberals than conservatives and still conservative presidents still get voted in?

    Because it only takes a majority of the electoral college, not a majority of the voters.

    According to surveys, only about 20% of the country is liberal. Conservatives about 40%. 

    Democrats get most of their votes by targeting the least educated and intelligent of the remaining 40%.

    The GOP has been very busy gerrymandering states so that only Republicans can win, no matter how many Democratic votes are cast

    Just because the MSM is full of leftists doesn't mean it's representative of the country. There's a reason Fox News has the highest ratings and it's not because everyone in the country is a leftist.

    Ah, my error, redistricting does not apply to Presidential elections. 

    The outdated Electoral College is the reason. If presidents were elected by popular vote, there would have been only Democratic Presidents since Clinton.
