    Find the mean and -- whatever that number is, add it.

    The mean of the given figures is 9.

    Adding 9 won't change the mean or the variance.

    13

    . 2

    14

    16

    + 0

    -----

    45 = Σx and n = 5

    μ = Σx / n

    μ = 45 / 5

    μ = 9

    Adding 9 to the list:

    13

    , 2

    14

    16

    . 0

    +9

    ------

    54 = Σx and n = 6

    μ = Σx / n

    μ = 54 / 6

    μ = 9
