Hi was wondering if sweat pants will protect from a snake bite? I live in Texas in the country and am around y’all grass. Thank you.

No. Depending on the area, I would suggest a high boot or hiking boot.

Sweat pants won't protect you. A big rattlesnake or a copperhead can easily bite right through sweat pants and bite you on your leg. Your best bet would be to wear some kind of heavy boots (maybe work boots) if you're out where snakes are likely to be. A snake is most likely to bite you on your ankle or on your foot. No snake (no matter how big) can bite through work boots.

Hell, NO!. There is an outside chance of protection from a coral snake bite if the sweat pants were loose. A pit viper's bite would go right through. Wear boots. If you want to be extra-sure, shell out big bucks for the Gokey botte sauvage. I think that you're talking four figures, nowadays, but they do have a lifetime guarantee.
