Why won't my AC unit turn on? At the advice of a tech, I flipped off the power switch on the box next to it, hosed it down and turned on.?
Now the unit won't turn on! It's a mini split

So it was working prior to you spraying it out? Sounds like you were not careful enough to keep water out of the electronics.
To be honest, we need more info, like why the tech told you to spray it down. If it was running on it's bypass, it may be too hot, can take hours to cool down, if it doesn't melt winding's.
Tell us the entire story, maybe someone will be able to advise properly.

Year make and model. Inverter or non inverter.
There are two units that must work for the mini split AC to "turn on", the inside unit and the outside unit.
Check the main breaker panel. Does the inside unit turn on when you turn it on with the remote? No, replace the battery on the remote. Still no luck, read the manual and turn it on manually on the controls on the inside unit. It the inside unit turns on manually, remote could be bad or receiver on inside unit is bad.
If the inside unit turns on when you turn it on with the remote or it turns on when turned on manually, but there is no cold air blowing (only blowing hot air), check if the outside unit is turning on.
If the outside unit is not turning on, it is usually due to a bad capacitor. If replacing the capacitor does not fix it, it is time to call a competent HVAC tech that specializes in mini splits. It might be due to a bad temp sensor or a bad contactor (relay) or the breaker (power box) is bad or if you are not too lucky, a bad main control board. Good luck.

Chance your service disconnect is bad. Or if there is electricity coming out of disconnect. You may have got water in unit an shorted something. gonna need a multimeter to figure it out.

maybe you should check the batteries, they mightve worn out
