My 12 year old son keeps saying “big oof”, what does that mean?

We are very religious and I am afraid that him saying this phrase could be opening a portal for the demons to enter our household. What does it mean though, is it a bad thing? Please help I’m a concerned mom.

It's the same as saying, "big deal!" It may be a form of contempt for your maternal authority but it could rather be a jokingly comment trying to provoke a reaction. At this age fixations or perversions must be corrected promptly with good example and forthright guidance. He who spareth the rod spoileth the child.

It seems to just be slang that is widely used to express unfortunate moments. Wouldn't worry about it. -J
