You don’t have enough money to put your grandpa in a nursing home but you make too much for Medicare or Medicaid to cover it?
You have a grandpa that desperately needs to go into a nursing home, you make too much and Medicaid and Medicare denies you but you don’t make enough for him to be in there long term.
What should you do?

Medicare only pay for a few days in a nursing home. Medicaid could cover it permanently. But that depends on his assets. Selling the home is a very BAD idea. There may be a taxable gain on the home. It is also a bad idea to use Medicaid because when he dies the government could force you to sell the home and pay them back for the cost of the nursing home.
If you can pay for a nursing or caretaker during the day to take care of grandpa.

YOUR income has nothing to do with Grandpa's income, for Medicaid and Nursing home purposes. However, Grandpa might have too many assets to qualify. Grandpa is going to have to sell his assets until he's broke, and then he should qualify for Medicaid.

Medicaid has nothing to do with your finances, it's all based on Grandpas assets

Does your grandfather have low income to qualify for Medicaid? If he owns anything he should sell his property to pay for care until the money runs out. Then the facility accepts Medicaid for payment along with his Social Security. YOUR income does not matter, just HIS to qualify for Medicaid.

If I was you I wouldn’t put him a nursing home.its more expensive and it’s a high chance of him catching covid-19.maybe get a house trusted caregiver for him until you come back from work everyday.

Have him sign over his assets to his intended heirs until they are below the threshold.

Only his assets and income matter.
If he has too much, he will have to spend is money until he is below $3000 and then Medicaid will pick up the tab.

Medicaid doesn't deny YOU.
If it has denied HIM, it's because HE makes too much or has too many assets.
What should YOU do? Who knows? What legal authority have you been granted? We are not clairvoyant.

What does what YOU make matter? It doesn't. You need to get better at trolling. And BTW, Medicare has nothing to do with income and/or resources. Keep that in mind when you troll again.
They are only concerned with HIS income and resources.

It's not what YOU make or have, it's what grandpa does.
