Travelling from America should I isolate?

Hello, my friend has been living in America for 5 months and has now returned home (5days ago). She has taken a corona test which is negative. Does she still need to self isolate?

How could we know? You didn't say what country she has returned to, so we can't look up that country's COVID policies for you.

If she's tested negative she probably doesn't have to. But it's not like this entire vast nation all has the same infection rates. There are parts of the US that haven't had a single COVID-19 case. So she should consider which part of this very large place she spent time in.

Yes, for 14 full days from their arrival.  So they have another 9 days to go.

Assuming they flew home, they could of been infected on the plane. Symptoms can take 14 days to show up. Just because she tested negative today doesn’t mean they are in the clear yet.

  • Yes, she needs to quarantine for 14 days whether tested or not.
