Can a leaky faucet be fixed with a wad of gum ?

If not, how about two wads of gum?

It will work about as well as it would work to stick a jet engine back on an airliner.

flex glue is like gum that you don't have to chew.

If you can afford gum. you can afford to get the proper gasket for the faucet. Each brand is different so mark down the name of the brand as it is stamped into the metal or take a picture of it and go to HomeDespot and show the plumbing people what you got.  They can help you.  You might even have money left over to buy gum.

That depends on the faucet and the gum, and what you would call a wad.

won't last even if it works.  you likely need new washers inside.  search internet [youtube] for how to disassemble and replace them.  parts come from the hardware and this is an easy DIY with simple tools.  -- grampa

Have you seen Charlie and the chocolate factory? If gum can do that to a person then it sure as **** can fix a tap.

"Fix" is probably too strong of a word if you're looking for a long term solution.  If you're talking about a leak that needs a new washer, then the gum could be a short term solution until the gum dries out, cracks, and fails as a solution.  That's about the best it could be used for though.

Maybe, but that is a temporary solution. :)

Depends on the type of gum.  definitely not trident or dentyne.
