Nothing's gonna happen; makes zero sense to defund. Officers put their lives on the line everyday for our community.  Action should be taken against bad officers and not a whole police organization.

It's already happening. It's like the wild west out there in the poor neighborhoods.

Simply, they will be less militarized, and the saved monies go to other programs

Let's just say gun and ammo sales are way up where if you want to commit crimes, you will have to go to a liberal city that likes that kind of stuff.

You should double their salaries. That way you could demand quality.

Compete chaos. I think if the alternate 1985 from Back to the Future II. Nobody will be safe. And, furthermore, it is ridiculous to ask in the same breath to get rid of law enforcement and for new laws. Leftists are idiots.

that's just a ploy to get the local 'leaders' out of their responsibilities.  With no police, they HAVE to contract with the county sheriff of protection, and that way NO MATTER what happens "IT'S NOT MY FAULT !!" ................

Good luck getting ambulance if that happens. In Illinois the first responders all threatened strike if police did

The portion of the police force budget that was defunded would go where it is needed.  Mental heath for example.  Instead of letting the mentally ill roam the streets we get them the help they need.  The police no longer need waste their time dealing with an issue they are ill equipped to handle in the first place.
