Why do women marry men who had a vasectomy?
What is the point?
The man can disappear anytime he wants to after the divorce. It is really sad.
You won't ever see him again.
If you guys have children together, there will always be some type of bondage with the guy. Someone who gave you children... create children with you. A special bond.
But a guy who had a vasectomy, he may as well just be your boyfriend, instead of a husband.

That's exactly the kind of man a woman who doesn't want children would be looking for. Not all marriages produce children and not all divorced women hope to have kids to use against their ex. In fact for most divorced women it's a burden to have to keep seeing their ex. Children present a complication to trying to get on with your wife after a failed marriage.

Vasectomy or not...
If a couple is seeking divorce it means they can't live together, in some cases they can't see eye to eye. What's the point of seeing each other after the divorce.
I'd rather pack and leave town. With kids it's gonna be worse, hate seeing your face.
I feel sorry for the kids though. A weekend with mama and another with papa.

You do realise that not all women want children...

What is this fantasy universe people are living in, where they believe having a child creates a special bond between the bio parents??? In real life, having a child together tends to drive a wedge between the bio parents. It adds lots of unhealthy stress to the relationship...enough to often kill it, leading to divorce, if the parents were married when the child was born.
What creates a bond between people is physical contact. This physical contact usually involves sex. When you are touched by a person you are sexually attracted to, YOUR OWN BODY responds by producing hormones that make you feel good. If you get enough physical contact with that one person, then you get (literally) addicted to the hormones that your body produces when that special person touches you. THAT is love, and it is often referred to as a "special bond". It is quite literally a chemical addiction to oxytocin that your brain correlates with your lover.
If you two happen to create a BABY...then the two of you are going to be having sex a lot less often. In fact, you might not have sex for years after baby is born. So having a baby often has the effect of DESTROYING a special bond.
Whether sex is "productive" or not, it can still cause two people to feel very much in love, stay together and continue to feel loved for a long time...
It really doesn't matter if your boyfriend has had a vasectomy or not. The only way that might matter is if you want children together. But even then, be careful what you wish for...

In a world that is grossly overpopulated we really need fewer children, not more. Choosing to not have children isn't for everyone but it can give the opportunity for a close relationship without the wedge of children driving you apart.

Our liberal society loves contraceptives and abortion..... and vasectomies...
Now, liberalism teaches that contraceptives are 100% effective at "preventing unwanted pregnancies" something which is false.. Liberalism also teaches that a vasectomy is totally reversible... this is also false... my sister used to be married to this guy and she told him to get a vasectomy... he did... then they got a divorce... he now has another wife, he had a reverse vasectomy but it has been evident that the "reverse vasectomy" didn't work.
Nowadays, many "romantic relationships" are all about LUST... consider people who cohabit, people who have one night stands, people who engage in "friends with benefits"... consider those who engage in "homosexual sex"... They don't see sex as a form of bonding between a husband and a wife.. ... and for this reason we have such high rates of single motherhood, aborted kids, divorces and people with STD... but don't dare to condemn these evils! otherwise you will be labeled as a "hater".

Ah, yes... Because staying together for the kids always works out.
Some women don't want kids, dude. And, before this argument comes up, a lot of us can't afford to get our tubes tied (or even find a doctor who will do it in the first place). Vasectomies are cheaper, less risky, and can be done as outpatient procedures.

If the guy had a vasectomy you can't have kids together unless he provided sperm at a sperm bank. And why are you all concerned about a man who has had a vasectomy? Great guy to marry if you don't want any kids.
Marriage isn't about having kids only. Some marriages never have children. Marriage is about trust, respect, acceptance, emotional closeness, and having someone around who will hold your hand when life kicks you in theAss. It's not about children. Where have you been?
