Depends on your driving record. Level of booze in your blood. A driving ban and

a large fine. Huge increase in your insurance when you can drive again.

If you do it again look forward to prison time.

It depends on the cop &has he got his weeky quota?Or maybe"his son"was hit by a drunk & is dead.U could LOSE the car or the right to drive(or both). It is no "slap on the wrist" penalty(more a kick in the nuts & cripple U). There are cops, judges & lawyers out there with kids.

There isn't a usual amount because it goes by how much you earn, at the least it could be 50% of weekly income and up to 600%, with a cap of £2,500. (you might be paid monthly but they will divide it into weeks) I'm just saying all the options and not trying to scare you, if you have no other convictions, you earn an average pay, £600 or so if you divide it weekly, then you're getting a £300 fine which you can pay in installments. Other costs come when your insurance goes up, though.

Four times your weekly income and 30 days in jail.  My father was killed by a drunk driver.  He got 10 years and a very large fine.

Anything from 50% of your weekly wage.

Probably 4x your relevant weekly income. Also a ban unless genuinely disabled and with no other means of help with transport. What makes it worse is that it's a criminal offence that can end up costing you over a long term something like £20K in increased insurance and holiday restrictions.

Add: Up to 175% relevant weekly income if in Band C. 300% if in Band D.  Depends how the accident you caused by drink driving gets viewed and if you have any history of motoring convictions.
