Do you need prior medical training to become a US Army medic?

Or do they teach it to you when you are chosen for the job?

No.  All you need for any enlisted job is a HS diploma and meet the medical and ASVAB score requirements.

ABSOLUTELY!  To be a military medic - they must have graduated from Medical School as a Doctor.

You need no prior experience for any job in the military, in fact they like it if you don’t because then it is easier to train you. Which they do, when you have complete Basic you go to school.
